What times: why is Léa Salamé’s show not being broadcast this January 6?

Scheduled every Saturday in the 2nd part of the evening on France 2 since the start of the school year in September 2022, the show Quelle époque! will not be broadcast on Saturday January 6, 2024. Télé Star explains to you today why.

After 16 long years at the helm of the legendary Saturday slot in the 2nd part of the evening on France 2, Laurent Ruquier decided to give up his place to Léa Salame. As a reminder, the two hosts presented the show On est en direct as a duo last season. Following the departure of Laurent Ruquier, Léa Salamé therefore inherited a brand new weekly talk show on the public channelthe first issue of which was broadcast a few weeks after the start of the September 2022 school year. Called What an era!, this new show will be able to count on the presence of Christophe Dechavanne as a permanent guestbut also on the humor of Philippe Caverivière, already present in On est en direct last season.

It is a historic and cult box of France Télévisions, even an institution. When I was young, I loved TV shows Thierry Ardisson (editor’s note: Everyone is talking about it). Later, I liked those of Laurent Ruquier, where I also had the chance to be co-presenter in On est en direct last year. The two men who occupied this position before me were television beastsso I go there humbly, without pretension, trying to follow in their footsteps, while having a little music of my own, which will perhaps be more journalism than animation“, indicated Léa Salamé during an interview. “I almost feel the duty to ‘do well’as a civic responsibility. There is real pressure at the bottom“, added the journalist.

What an era! : Léa Salamé, Christophe Dechavanne and Philippe Caverivière still on leave

If Léa Salamé’s show has been scheduled almost every Saturday in the second half of the evening since the start of the school year in September 2022 on France 2, however, no new number will be broadcast on Saturday January 6, 2024. In fact, the show is usually recorded the day before it airs. However, no filming of What a Time! was not scheduled for Friday January 5, 2024. This therefore means that Léa Salamé, Christophe Dechavanne, Philippe Caverivière and Paul de Saint-Sernin are still on leave. Therefore, the first issue of the year 2024 will be broadcast on Saturday January 13, 2024.
