Nothing is going well… Revealed to the general public thanks to her participation in season 15 of Love is in the meadowCathy is the head of a wine estate in the Médoc. Although she took over the reins of the vineyard with her sister after her father’s suicide in 2016, this activity causes her a lot of trouble. Last July, on her Instagram account, Aurélia’s friend revealed that she had lost part of her harvest. “And now I have nothing left. Everything has been eaten by mildew.”he said, totally dejected. And he continued: “But this year, with rain every two days, it’s worse than last year and today I have no more harvest. It’s dramatic !”
Since then, the situation has not improved. In a video, published on her social network this Wednesday, August 21, she expressed her distress. “I am in my vineyards and behind we see that the plot has been uprooted. It was uprooted the day before the bailiff came. I will give you some recaps: you know that my vines have been affected 100% on more than 12 hectares of vines. I only have three plots that have been saved (…) I will show you the state of the vines and you will tell me what you think”, she told her followers. Before drawing a sad conclusion in the caption of this post: “I have no more news so we have to get moving (…) Today, I have nothing left on my vines. 12 hectares for no reason, I will not have a 2024 harvest and no one is talking about it, I am not the only one in this situation, but what to do???” Faced with this new setback, Cathy was once again able to count on the support of her subscribers. While some gave her some advice, others wished her “good luck” for the rest of her efforts.

Cathy (Love is in the meadow) helpless in the face of this situation
Enough is enough… During an interview given to our colleagues at Tele-Leisureon July 26, Cathy confided that this situation was psychologically trying. “After a while, I can’t take it anymore, I have to say it to relieve myselfshe said. We need to free ourselves from this pressure that we have on our shoulders every day and we must not hesitate to say so. After a while, we get tired of suffering all the time. We suffer every day.”
Despite this difficult situation, Cathy is not giving up and is ready for the next harvest. “I think I’ll do them manually. I’ll have to sort the grapes. If I want to do something of quality, I’ll have to sort them manually: it’s going to be a titanic task. I’ll have to find people to come and help me.”she concluded.
