Interior’s: a judicial liquidation with serious consequences

In 2022, Interior’s launched a backup plan after difficult years. Founded in 1977, the company did not find a buyer and had to be placed in suspension of payments on April 1, before being liquidated. And the brand has not shown transparency towards its customers. 340 people paid for an order they never received.

Customers organized to protest in a Facebook group called “Collective of customers affected by the judicial liquidation of Interior’s”. The legal representative in charge of the file did not respond to them and the company calculated this timing. Orders could be placed until April 30, when the liquidation had already been announced. For some, the objective was clearly to “replenish the coffers”, as Cécile describes it to RMC Conso. Another customer ordered 4 pieces of furniture for a total amount of 6,471 euros. She was only informed of the liquidation on May 25, like many of them.

What should you do if you are an injured customer?

An estimate was made based on the amounts of 211 injured customers out of the 340 in the Facebook group and would amount to 361,652 euros of paid and undelivered orders. An amount which would therefore be even higher. A victim of the damage explains to the newspaper that she calls the agent appointed by the court almost every day, without response from her. She did not wish to communicate with RMC Conso and talks about a file “relating to collective proceedings”. A lack of consideration that is difficult to live with.
