What to do with billions of dollars? The Loot series will give you ideas!

Available on the Apple TV+ platform, the comedy series “Loot” tells the story of a deceived woman who receives 87 billion dollars in compensation. A new life begins for her.

Molly Novak is swimming in happiness. A socialite, she is rich and has been happily married to a billionaire for 20 years. Until the day she discovers that the man in her life is cheating on her. Then begins the forfeiture for this former model wife who multiplies the escapades. Only good news: it receives 87 billion dollars. With this money, she decides to invest in a charitable foundation.

Loot creators Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang have always been fascinated by “ultra-rich”. With the series, they wanted to show how “their sense of morality may emerge despite the disconnected state they may live in.” Matt Hubbard asks the following question:Can someone who has always lived in this bubble of privilege really change and become a “good” person serving others?.”

Worn by Maya Rudolph – star of the American show Saturday Night Live -, the series is based in part on the comedic talent of its actress. “It’s a force of natureExplain Alan Yang. You have to let her do it and she always ends up surprising you. She can go from comedy to drama in an instant. She knows how to make you laugh and the next moment she can move you with little moments. We wrote this series for her and around her. The result is really beyond all our expectations..”

START YOUR LIFE AGAIN

For the main concerned, Loot is a series on the second chance: “What is important with this story is to understand what makes us human and what transforms us according to the different moments we go through in our lives. Especially when your world is falling apart, like Molly.

It also allows you to understand the things you didn’t do to have the life you really wanted to have, she says. Especially at a certain age, you can only ask yourself the question of your supposed “happiness”, do I really live a happy life? I think everyone can relate to this journey.
