On February 26, the Pokémon GO Circuit of the Johto region will take place. This one will highlight the creatures of the second generation as well as the first Apex legendaries.
Pokémon GO Tour: Johto
To begin, let’s go back to the principle of the Pokémon GO Circuit. This event, which lasts a few hours, offers players to choose one side from two that are linked to the versions of the video games. The first had set up the Green and Red versions and therefore by extension, the Kanto region. For that of 2022, it is the Gold and Silver games that are in the spotlight. Thus, you will have to choose one of the two camps and to help you make your choice, here are the Pokémon of each party for those who have purchased the ticket.
Gold Version
By choosing the Gold version, you will have the possibility of having Manta in its chromatic form for the first time.
Silver Edition
By choosing the Silver version, you will have the possibility of having Phanpy in its chromatic form for the first time.
Both Versions
Besides the exclusives, there are also common Pokémon that will have an increased rate.
In addition to these Pokémon, players with a ticket will be able to encounter all creatures originating from the Johto region via raids, nature, eggs or even missions. Of course, each Pokémon can be available in shiny and some even make their debut in this form, such as Girafaring or Corayon. You can also capture the Zarbi (G, J, O, R, T and U).
Special study
By having access to the paid part of the event, you will unlock access to a special study allowing you to meet a chromatic Leviator referring to that of Lake Wrath as well as the time traveler, Celebi. The latter will know the immediate attack Leaf Magik. By completing it, you will be able to take part in a master study allowing you to meet the Dark Apex versions of Lugia and Ho-Oh. This new quest line is planned to last for a long time. We can therefore expect something like chromatic Mew during the first circuit.
Other advantages of the paid version
The ticket gives you other benefits such as exclusive avatar items, including the Mask of Lugia or the Wings of Ho-oh. A collection challenge is also available that will reward you for capturing certain specific Pokémon. For other benefits, here they are below.
- A free bundle containing three Remote Raid Passes will be available in the store.
- Eggs will only require you to walk a quarter of their usual hatching distance.
- You’ll get up to nine free Raid Passes by spinning Arena PhotoDiscs.
- You will earn twice as many Candies when you hatch eggs.
- You will earn more Candy by capturing Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region.
- You will get an exclusive in-game medal to commemorate the event.
- Take a picture to get a surprise!
- You can get special stickers by spinning PokéStops and buying them from the in-game store.
The Pokémon GO Circuit: Johto in its free version
Although this event has a big advantage in its paid version, there is still the possibility of enjoying it for free. So here is what will be active for the free circuit experience.
- Raids will include Scarhino, Corayon, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Lugia, and Ho-Oh.
- Pichu, Mélo, Toudoudou, Togepi, Debugant, Lippouti, Élekid and Magby will hatch in 2 km Eggs.
- You can complete up to six Special Trades and one Timed Research related to Trainer Battles during the event.

- Eevee will not need distance traveled to evolve into Mentali or Noctali until 11 p.m.
- Lugia caught during the event will know the Aeroblast special attack, while Ho-Oh will know the new Holy Fire special attack.
- Some Pokémon native to Johto will appear in the wild, in raids, and hatch in 7 km Eggs.

And this is what awaits you on Saturday, February 26. All you have to do is choose your side. Rather Lugia and the Silver version or Ho-Oh and the Gold version?
