Between two parachute jumps and a motorcycle stunt for the filming of Mission Impossible 8, Tom Cruise is watching movies! Despite an agenda that we imagine very busy, the actor wanted to see a work that DC fans have been waiting for a very long time: The Flash.
According The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Cruise would have liked to see the film following a meeting with David Zaslav, president of Warner Bros Discovery. The latter would have sung the praises of this feature film directed by Andy Muschietti.
Piqued by curiosity, the actor would have asked to see The Flash to form his opinion. And when we probably “saved the movie industry with Top Gun Maverick“as Spielberg says, you can’t deny anything to Tom Cruise.
Thus, an employee of the Warner studio would have brought a copy to Tom Cruise in Beverly Hills so that he could see the film. The employee would then have left with it to prevent any leaks.
According to sources quoted by THR, Tom Cruise would have really loved the film, even going so far as to call Andy Muschietti in stride to congratulate him.
“That’s all you expect from a work”, would have confided a dithyrambic Tom Cruise. For the actor, it is “the kind of movie we need right now.”

This enthusiastic declaration comes after that of James Gunn, who had hammered that The Flash was probably “one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.”
Expected for next June 14 at the cinema, The Flash will show us a clash of realities. When Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) uses his superpowers to go back in time and change his past, he will turn the universe upside down.
But his efforts to save his family are not without consequences for the future, and Barry finds himself trapped in a reality where General Zod is back, threatening to wipe out the planet, and where superheroes have gone.
Unless Barry can pull a much-changed Batman out of retirement and come to the aid of an incarcerated Kryptonian, who isn’t necessarily the one he’s looking for. Barry then engages in a terrible race against time to protect the world he is in and find the future he knows. But will his ultimate sacrifice be enough to save the universe?
While waiting for The Flash on June 14, DC fans will have a date with Shazam 2 on March 29.
