From January 1, 2024, HSBC bank will officially cease its banking activity for individuals in France. My Money Group will take over from this date, under the Crdit Commercial de France (CCF) brand, the accounts and banking services of HSBC customers. How will this change impact customers?

A new account number

By switching to CCF, HSBC customers will be assigned a new account number. Who says new account number, says new IBAN and new RIB. Customers normally received it with a letter from HSBC at the beginning of December. A new identifier allowing them to access their customer area was also communicated to them.

Customers will be able to continue using their bank cards from HSBC until they receive the CCF card during automatic renewal during the first half of 2024. They will keep the same confidential code.

HSBC: here are the new features awaiting customers from January 1, 2024

Just like the bank card, customers will not have to change their checkbook before January 1st. HSBC checks put will simply be debited on the new CCF account. The bank, however, specified that a new checkbook must be ordered by customers from January.

Main organizations such as administrations and energy suppliers will be automatically notified of the change of address banking. And for six months from January, transfers and direct debits made to their old IBAN will be automatically transferred to the new CCF bank account.

Several service interruptions

Due to the migration to the CCF, several services will be temporarily closed between the end of December and January 2. Indeed, until this date, customers will no longer have access to their personal online banking space and will not be able to contact customer service.

No new transfer orders can be made. The agencies, for their part, will reopen their doors on January 3. The placing of stock market orders will also be interrupted until January 3.

Moreover, no edition of secret code or modification of ceilings a bank card will not be possible before January 10. Finally, mobile payment via Apple Pay, cut from December 18, will be restored in January.
