School enrollment – the major event
The time has come. The Kita child becomes a school child. A huge change for the whole family. And an event that needs planning – more or less. The day of schooling has now taken on the volume of events at an Academy Awards. Headmasters look ahead to a limited number of participants in Aulen (mother, father, siblings, grandma and grandpa are tolerated, the rest of the relatives are only allowed to come to the restaurant for lunch afterwards. Small note on the side for everyone who enjoys such large events : Make the table reservation at least 4 months in advance …). The school bag has gained in importance in recent years – just like the day of schooling. Surveys have shown that it is important to parents that the school bag demonstrates that we have invested. And then it looks like this in the individual federal states of Germany: In Thuringia, parents spend around 80 euros on filling the school bag, in Bavaria around 67, in Lower Saxony around 50 and in Hamburg 35 euros.
