Soon on WhatsAppyou should be able to tell your friends about your current activity just by saying a few words.
Meta group has been working on improving Status on WhatsApp lately. Since May, the Status section of the instant messaging app has integrated link preview as well as an invisibility option to hide the status. It looks like it will allow voicemail soon.
Sound in addition to text and images
This was discovered by WABetaInfo members in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.22.16.3. This version allows to directly record voice messages for the Status page.
Currently, the possibilities are limited to posting photos, videos, GIFs, and of course, text messages. Soon, users could therefore directly record a voice message to keep their loved ones informed of their current news.
The screenshot provided is self-explanatory: it shows the addition of an additional microphone icon, above those for entering text or adding photos. Note that it would also be possible to add pre-existing audio files.
Naturally, these voice messages will enjoy the same security and privacy settings as the other two forms of expression mentioned above.
At the moment, this feature of voice messages for the Status is in development phase; it’s not even offered to beta testers yet. So you will have to settle for photos, videos and text messages for a few more weeks.
