On the night of Wednesday, numerous WhatsApp users reported disruptions. An internal update was apparently to blame for the problems.
The WhatsApp messenger service temporarily stopped working on Wednesday night. According to the comments on "allestault.de", numerous users received error messages, among other things, in which they were informed that a connection had failed or that they should try again five minutes later.
More than 130,000 malfunction reports
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., more than 130,000 malfunction reports were received on the portal on Tuesday night. Shortly afterwards the reports decreased again. The problems were apparently largely resolved before midnight.
"An internal update on our WhatsApp servers has caused some people to have problems sending messages," explains a WhatsApp spokesman when asked by "t-online.de". The problem was solved quickly and I apologize for the inconvenience.
