WhatsApp is working on a new welcome activity status update

WhatsApp should very soon welcome a new feature that should delight the most discreet among you.

For long weeks, the Meta group has announced many new features to come within its WhatsApp instant messaging. And the least we can say is that the giant is not idle to make its application the most complete it is. But after a few days of silence, a new feature being prepared has been discovered. And this one will be about your activity status.

WhatsApp: an invisibility option soon available

As very often, it is the site WABetaInfo which is the origin of this discovery. In the next few weeks, it should finally be possible to completely hide your online status on WhatsApp. More concretely, this feature, called “Who can see when I’m online”, will allow you to become invisible to all of your contacts, or, if you wish, only to some of them.

Until now, it was only possible to prevent certain users from seeing your last online status. This therefore means that everyone could see in real time when you were logged into WhatsApp, regardless of the privacy settings you had configured in the application. So this is a feature that should be of great interest to those who prefer to remain invisible, and which has been in high demand for several years.

For the moment, remember that this option is still only in the beta phase. We will therefore probably have to wait a little longer before we see it land on our Android and iOS devices, as well as on the desktop version.
