If it allows exchanging messages and making calls, the application WhatsApp
also allows you to transfer files.

Right now, the limit is set at 100MB per file, but that could explode soon.

Transfers up to 2 GB on WhatsApp?

The very popular WhatsApp application allows millions of users around the world every day to exchange messages, but also to make voice/video calls, not to mention the transfer of videos or photos. The application owned by Meta also allows the transit of any type of document, with a limit set at 100 MB.

According to WABetaInfoWhatsApp teams are currently testing a new version of the application that could allow the transit of documents weighing 2 GB. This function is currently being tested with a small panel of users of the beta version of the application in Argentina.

At the moment, this is still a simple test, and there is no indication that this feature will ever be available for everyone. For some, however, it’s only a matter of time before it rolls out globally and beyond the beta program. Patience, therefore.
