WhatsApp has announced a new chat sorting feature on Twitter. It is already available on the first devices, but very hidden. We’ll show you how to use them.

You can quickly lose track of things in Messenger WhatsApp, so Meta now gives you a new tool for organizing your chat list. As the company announced via Twitter, you can now filter them.
Currently, however, only the “Unread” option is available as a chat filter. If you select this, only unread messages will be displayed in your chat list. The function is also somewhat hidden, you first have to tap on the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the chat list. In a separate guide, we will show you step by step how you can filter your chat list for unread messages.
Incidentally, the filter is apparently enabled by a server-side update. We’ve had it for a few days, others haven’t seen it yet despite WhatsApp’s announcement, so you may have to wait a few more days before you can use it.
