WhatsApp: New admin feature keeps unwanted group members away

WHATSAPP

WhatsApp groups can quickly grow into real behemoths. A new feature helps you better control who is allowed in the private chat room.

Admins of WhatsApp groups get more rights.

WhatsApp has released a useful tool in a new beta version for Android. In the future, chat group admins will be even better able to determine who is allowed to join the group and who unfortunately has to stay outside.

The function notifies you in the corresponding group chat and you can then allow or deny access. As reported by WABetainfo, you don’t have to make the decision immediately: an additional admin menu also gives you an overview of all “applications”.

WhatsApp is constantly working to make the service more useful. For example, the option to filter unread messages. When the feature will be available and when an iOS version will appear is still unknown.

Now and then, WhatsApp also leaves users with question marks, such as the red exclamation mark or a dot next to the main menu. You can find out what this is all about in the linked articles.
