WhatsApp replaces “current shopping”: Next supermarket sends prospectus via Messenger

WHATSAPP

WhatsApp is increasingly replacing the prospectus collection “Einkauf aktuell”. After Rewe, another supermarket is now selling its brochure via Messenger.

Every week, the brochure collection “Einkauf aktuell” lands in the mailboxes of around 15 million households in Germany. But apparently that will soon be the end of it. More and more supermarkets have announced that they will no longer use printed flyers for the sake of the environment. Apparently the messenger WhatsApp acts as a replacement.

Rewe showed the way. The supermarket chain has been sending out its prospectus via WhatsApp on Sundays since the end of August. Now Kaufland is following suit. If you want to subscribe to the supermarket brochure, all you have to do is scan the QR code in the picture above with your mobile phone and you will then end up in a chat with the company.

Then send the pre-filled message “Submit and let’s go!” and then enter your zip code and select the branch near you. You will receive the current offers every Sunday. With a simple “STOP” in the chat you can cancel the delivery again.

If you’re wondering what the blue circle on WhatsApp is all about, we’ll tell you in the linked article.
