When Bioshock meets Blade Runner, it results in this very promising game


The Polish team from Critical Hit Games have announced their game Nobody Wants to Die. A PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC title that seems to mix several influences, including Blade Runner and Bioshock.

Plaion in all likelihood has surprises for its 2024 line-up. After Persona 3 Reload or Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, the publisher announces Nobody Wants to Die. A narrative game in a dystopian universe, at the crossroads of several games or films, which is planned for this year on consoles and PC. And the first trailer reveals a very ambitious title on paper which is particularly inspired by Blade Runner.

Blade Runner + Bioshock = Nobody Wants To Die

Have you ever wondered if it was possible to mix big names such as Blade Runner, Cyberpunk 2077, Bioshock or even LA Noire together? No ? Well the Polish studio Critical Hit Games has taken this step and it gives us Nobody Wants to Die. An interactive noir novel that explores themes of immortality and the dangers of transhumanism. Yes, there is also a bit of Deus Ex obviously.

Nobody Wants to Die takes place in 2329 in a dystopian version of New York. “In this dizzying dystopia, immortality is possible, but you have to pay the price. Technology has advanced to provide humans with eternal life. Consciousness can be stored in memory banks or transferred from one body to another. Provided you have the means to pay the subscription » the press release states.

To discover this futuristic and fantasy version of the Big Apple, Nobody Wants to Die invites you to play Inspector James Karra. A cop who will team up with Sara Kai, a young recruit, who will be able to manipulate time and use advanced technologies. And for a very specific goal which is to trace the trace of a serial killer who aims “the city’s elite”. Obviously, the barrier between good and evil has disappeared and James Karra will have to learn to navigate between the two to succeed in his mission.

In case you’re wondering, this is a first-person game. A software which is completely reminiscent of Blade Runner, but also Bioshock, and which therefore looks very promising if we are to believe the little information as well as the announcement trailer.
