This is a real event for this year 2023: this long-awaited adaptation of the Harry Potter saga, despite the controversies, is one of the most pre-ordered games. It is promised a bright commercial future, hoping that artistic success will also be there.
Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy is slated for February 10 on PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series, and PC. But when exactly will it be available? In several tweets published on February 2, Warner Bros. took stock of the launch times, knowing that there is a small subtlety: some people will be able to access it 72 hours before (i.e. February 7). This early access is included in the Deluxe version (ie the most expensive). The timetables obviously concern the digital format.
What time will Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy really be available?
I bought the normal version on PS5 or Xbox Series S/X
Console players will be privileged for the launch of Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy. They will have access to the game on February 10 from midnight, local time in their country. This choice means that regions of the world will be served in advance of others, due to time zones. Normally, you will be able to pre-download the game to save time and be ready at the indicated time.
Note that there is a trick to play it earlier on Xbox. In the console settings, it is possible to change the region to pretend that you live in another country and, thus, take advantage of the time difference. In concrete terms, by setting your Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X to New Zealand, you can play Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy 12 hours before, i.e. February 9, at 12 p.m.
To change the settings of your Xbox, you have to go to Settings > System > Language & Region.
I bought the normal version on PC
On PC, you will have to be a little more patient: Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy will be available on February 10, but not before 7 p.m. French time (this schedule is global). Yes, it’s a hell of a shift from the PlayStation and Xbox versions.
I bought the Deluxe version on PS5 or Xbox Series S/X
The 72 hours of early access allow you to launch Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy from February 7 on PS5, Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. Always at the same time: from midnight. And, of course, the Xbox trick works here too, with the opportunity to play starting February 6 at 12 p.m.
I bought the Deluxe version on PC
For those concerned, it will therefore be February 7, at 7 p.m.
