Specialized in real estate, the company Zillow has just launched a brand new plugin (currently available in alpha version), boosted with ChatGPT. A way for the company to afford a virtual real estate agent, available at all times, so Stéphane Plaz-IA way.

Concretely, the plugin allows users to indicate to ChatGPT the type of property they are looking to buy or rent, specifying a list of criteria such as location, price, number of bedrooms… ChatGPT will then search in Zillow’s database, in order to provide a selection of advertisements that may be of interest to the user.
Zillow explains that ” The plugin is available to a limited number of ChatGPT users today, with wider access planned in the future. “.
A few months ago, Zillow launched a new way to use its website’s search bar, which already allowed shoppers to type conversational phrases into the website’s search bar to get results.
It remains to be seen whether this incursion of “Generative IA” offers real added value in this specific case, or whether it is simply a technological gimmick.
