When does "The Little Lord" run? All dates for 2020

"The Little Lord" is an absolute classic – especially at Christmas time. Here you can find the broadcast dates for 2020.

If everything seems different and inconsistent in 2020, we can let you breathe a sigh of relief: "The Little Lord" has been an integral part of ARD's pre-Christmas television program for over 35 years – and it will be the same this year.

"The Little Lord": Every year on TV

As can be seen from the ARD program planning, the British Christmas film will be shown on the Friday before Christmas, December 18, at 8.15 p.m. on Das Erste. No wonder, after all, "The Little Lord" gives the station phenomenal ratings every year – around six million viewers were last in front of the television when little Lord Fauntleroy warmed his grandfather's heart.

How Lord Fauntleroy changed his grandfather

Cedric Errol (played by Ricky Schroder) lives with his mother (played by Constance "Connie" Booth) in New York. Little does the eight-year-old boy suspect that his deceased father belonged to an old British aristocratic family. After all, he was disinherited through the marriage of a middle-class American. One day his grandfather, Earl von Dorincourt (played by Sir Alec Guinness), invites little Cedric to England. He wants to get to know his only descendant and educate them according to his values. But it should turn out quite differently: The bright Cedric has a surprising influence on the grumpy man.
