When is the depot change worthwhile – and when not

Ldear pharmacists, dear doctors! If you are one of the critics who believe that I have nothing new to offer and that I am only rehashing old ideas, then I have to agree with you in part. In the last 24 years, I have told you (almost) everything there is to say about sensibly structuring private wealth. Nevertheless, I will not stop with this column. First, there are young readers who have only been reading my articles for months, and second, there are veterans who tend to be forgetful, if I may put it that way. May I clarify the second assertion with an example?

Seven years ago, using the example of a bank in Frankfurt, I described to you what you could face if you succumbed to the call to transfer your beautiful securities because there was cash in hand. Now you, dear pharmacists, dear doctors, are being ensnared by your valuable bank. It offers you a bonus of 0.5 percent if you deposit at least 25,000 euros in a deposit with this bank in the next few days.
