When is the Square Bitcoin Wallet coming?

“We’ll do it” reports Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. It’s about the production of a hardware wallet from Square. Fittingly, on-chain analyst Willy Woo sees Bitcoin in an accumulation phase and Apple founder Steve Wozniak is also impressed by digital gold. Welcome to the opinion ECHO.

It is well known that Square CEO Jack Dorsey is a bitcoiner. The Square Cash app has long been one of the most widely used vehicles for buying Bitcoin. But the busy billionaire does not stand still. At the beginning of June, Dorsey was already spreading plans for a hardware wallet from Square Crypto. The series founder made it clear on Twitter: This is not about sales, but about providing the Bitcoin community with a product that they can really use.

In a thread at the time, Dorsey wrote:

If we [eine Hardware Wallet bauen], we would build it completely open, from the software to the hardware design, and in collaboration with the community. […] Bitcoin is there for everyone. It is therefore important to build an inclusive product. […]

Now the plan is taking shape. Because as @jack posts on Twitter (where else), “do it now”. Under the direction of Square Hardware boss Jesse Dorogusker, a user-friendly wallet brand Square Crypto is expected to come onto the market in the near future. We are excited.

“Shorter get rect”

Where on the way, Bitcoin? Even if some market watchers have long since seen BTC on the moon, the number 1 crypto currency is undoubtedly in the summer slump. There are some indications that the ground has been found. However, a price rally still seems a long way off. Or not?

Willy Woo, one of the most prominent on-chain analysts ever, has looked under the hood and sees a “net outflow” of Bitcoin. In other words: traders: in total, more BTC is withdrawn from the exchanges than landed on them. This in turn reduces the supply on the market, which in the past has certainly put pressure on prices in the north.

In other words: short sellers: inside will be caught cold.

In my opinion, anyone who shorts this market will be dealt with given enough time. It’s just a game of patience for the fundamentals to prevail.

Apple founder Wozniak thinks Bitcoin is great

With Apple founder Steve Wozniak, Bitcoin has won another prominent advocate. The computer engineer used to appear more often as a supporter of the cryptocurrency. But now “The Woz” has made astonishingly strong support for BTC. At Talent Land Digital 2021, a leading digital conference in Latin America, Wozniak said:

Gold is limited and you have to look for it. Bitcoin is the most amazing math miracle. I don’t invest in Bitcoin, but I believe it is here to stay.
