LThe explosions rang out in the night, when Isfahan was not yet quite asleep. “It’s a drone!” It’s a drone! exclaimed in his characteristic accent a resident of the millennial city in central Iran who was filming the scene.

The man was telling the truth. Three quadcopters, devices with four rotors, targeted an ammunition manufacturing plant at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday, the Iranian Defense Ministry announced just hours later, adding that one of the drones had been destroyed by the site’s air defense system, while the other two had exploded. With no casualties, the incident resulted in “minor damage to the roof” of the building and “did not cause any disruption to the operation of the complex…
