Warzone’s hugely popular Rebirth Island map was dropped with Season 4, but the developers have confirmed that it will be making a return. Here’s when Warzone players can expect Rebirth Island to return to Warzone.
Warzone didn’t receive a map to replace Verdansk when it joined Black Ops Cold War in December 2020. Instead, players were treated to Rebirth Island, a version of Alcatraz from Blackout.
Rebirth Island quickly became a fan-favorite experience, but was removed at the start of Warzone Pacific Season 4 to highlight the new Good Fortune map. The developers have already confirmed that Rebirth Island will return, so here’s when it’ll be back in Season 4.
Rebirth Island return date in Warzone
Rebirth Island will return to the game on Thursday, June 30 after an update to the Season 4 game modes.
Throughout Season 4, players will be able to experience the new Caldera and Maid of Fortune game modes, but the first week of the Season, Rebirth Island will not be available.
What happened to Rebirth Island in Season 4?
Rebirth Island was removed from the game during Season 4 so that the new map, Good Fortune, would take center stage. However, it is important to remember that this is a temporary change.
Some players much prefer the fast-paced action of Rebirth Island, which is why Raven Software felt the need not to exclude it from Warzone for too long. You can also look forward to the zombie-filled Rebirth of the Dead mode, which is expected to arrive later in Season 4.
