fun, news, tips… what else?

As we know, it is Charles III who becomes the new King of England in place of Queen Elizabeth II. But when will his coronation take place?

Things don’t drag with the royal family. As soon as the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced, we learned that her son Charles succeeded him on the throne and that he would be back in London with Camilla this Friday.

It was at the Accession Council that King Charles III and his wife designated queen consort would indeed be proclaimed. It traditionally meets on the death of a sovereign in the English capital, more precisely at Saint James’s Palace. 41 shots will also be fired in Hyde Park, the largest park in central London.

But before the coronation of the new king, a tribute will be paid to his mother, more or less long. It is not yet known how long it will last but we know that it could be weeks or even months, as was the case for the queen’s father, George VI.

Because it is necessary to properly mourn the predecessor before celebrating the new sovereign in England. If the succession made no ambiguity, having been announced simultaneously with the death of the queen, the rest of the protocol concerning Charles is therefore more vague. Attention is currently focused on the respects paid to Elizabeth II and then to her funeral. Ten days are planned, in Scotland then in London, before the funeral on September 19.
