When will you receive your 2023 energy check? Here is the official calendar department by department

Sending of the 2023 energy check starts this Friday, April 21 with the Pas-de-Calais department. Find the rest of the calendar, week by week, department by department.

The 2023 campaign on each energy will be officially launched on Friday 21 April. From this date, the inhabitants of Pas-de-Calais will be the first to receive this social aid of between 48 and 277 euros granted to the 20% of households with the lowest incomes. The energy check is automatically sent to your home by post.

It takes between 2 to 4 days to receive the energy check at home. It is sent out over 5 weeks and distributed according to the departments. Sometimes, the same department is divided over several weeks, depending on its number of inhabitants. Here is the schedule.

For the year 2023, a person living alone must have a reference tax income of 11,000 euros maximum to receive the energy check and a couple with two children must not exceed 23,100 euros. These ceilings have been reassessed since they were 10,800 euros in the first case, and 22,680 euros for the second in 2022.

To obtain the energy voucher, you need a reference tax income per consumption unit (RFR/UC) of less than 11,000 euros in 2021. According to the definition of INSEE, the UC makes it possible to compare the standards of living of households of of different composition: 1 UC for the first adult in the household, 0.5 UC for other persons aged 14 or over, 0.3 UC for children under 14.

The 2023 energy check will be valid until the end of March 2024. If you want to test your eligibility, a simulator is also offered by the official government website.

This check energy can be used to regulate various energy expenses (electricity, natural gas, heat, liquefied petroleum gas, heating oil, wood, biomass, or other fuels intended for heating or hot water production) related to housing. It can also be used to finance energy renovation work. However, you cannot use it to pay for fuel.
