The discovery of two bodies on Friday March 3 and Saturday March 4 in Charente-Maritime and the arrest of three suspects has given a blow to the morale of the parents of Leslie and Kévin, who disappeared last November. Onyx, the couple’s dog, is still wanted.
For the parents of Leslie Hoorelbeke and Kévin Trompat, whose trace was lost on November 26 in Prahecq, near Niort (Deux-Sèvres), it is hard to keep hope… It must be said that, after weeks of freezing, the investigation has suddenly accelerated in recent days with the arrest of three men suspected of being involved in this case, but also the discovery of two remains during excavations organized on Friday March 3 and Saturday March 4 in Charente-Maritime. Even though the “identities of the victims have not been formally established at this time”, as indicated by the public prosecutor of Poitiers, the anxiety-provoking news has impacted the relatives of the vanished couple.
“Leslie’s family is in shock. The indictments and the qualification retained leave no hope of finding Leslie alive. The parents are devastated”, indicated Me Mourad Battikh, the new lawyer for the father and the mother-in-law of the young missing woman, in a press release published on Saturday March 4. Nevertheless, Onyx, the young woman’s dog 22, who disappeared the same evening as his mistress, is still wanted, a last hope for the parents. Indeed, according to information from South West, no dead dog would have been found buried with the bodies recently discovered by the police in Puyravault and Virson. Since then, calls for witnesses have multiplied on the Web in order to find this dog of staff typenot chipped and not tattooed.

Leslie and Onyx “inseparable”
Onyx’s disappearance remains a mystery. Indeed, according to various testimonies collected by our colleagues from RTL for a new episode of L’Heure du crime, broadcast on January 30, 2023, no barking has been extended the night of the disappearance. “A very striking detail”, underlined the journalist Jean-Alphonse Richard.
