The data.gouv.fr website has the solution to help you find a service station in the area and find out the prices charged in advance.

The French State has launched a beta version of its interactive fuel price map, based on open data.

Know the stock and price of fuel at the station thanks to open data

This tool allows you to search near your home for a service station that meets your needs. The platform, available on data.gouv.fr, lets the user filter according to the type of fuel sought between Unleaded 95 (E10), Unleaded 95, Unleaded 98, Diesel, LPG-c and Superethanol E85.

The map warns the user if a station is in a shortage situation and indicates the prices of the different fuels available. Each time, the date and time of the update are indicated to reduce the risk of relying on potentially outdated information.

A graph of the evolution of prices over the year is also integrated as well as the average and median price of each fuel. For example, at the time of writing, the SP95-E10 costs an average of 1.62 euros in France, while the median is 1.61 euros.
