The COVID-19 epidemic has upset the plans of the French. As the departure on vacation approaches, all (or almost) have preferred not to take risks by staying in France. According to a recent study carried out by the vacation rental comparator Likibu, the prices of seasonal rentals have increased by more than 5% on average in 70% of French seaside resorts. The price increases are more significant on the coasts of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and those of the North Atlantic. For example, inflation is 23% in Saint-Tropez, 22% in Nice, 20% in La Trinité-sur-Mer, and 18% in Saint-Lunaire.

More attractive prices on the Opal Coast

If the South remains the favorite destination of the French for summer holidays, the landscapes are just as pretty in the North and the prices are much more reasonable! For small budgets, the Opal Coast offers very advantageous rates. Why not rent in Dunkirk or Calais, cities where apartment rentals are the cheapest.

You can also do good business by Brittany, and more particularly in Erquy in Côtes-d'Armor, Fouesnant in Finistère or even Sarzeau in Morbihan. For those who absolutely want to go to the South, the prices are also advantageous on the side of theOccitania. Gruissan, Le Barcarès and Leucate, for example, offer inexpensive rentals.

The French prefer camping

With the current health situation, the French are betting on the outdoors and are back to camping! A big advantage for the campsites, which hope to make up for the delay taken during the confinement period. This summer, motorhome sales and rentals are soaring. Symbol of freedom, the motorhome allows holidaymakers to travel while respecting barrier gestures. With this vehicle, they have the chance to go where they want, when they want! And above all, its use is very safe from a health point of view since they eat, sleep and wash themselves, avoiding collective spaces.

This year, and even more so with the pandemic, the concept of home swapping between individuals is extremely successful. The principle ?
