Good news, Where Winds Meet will also be released on PlayStation 5 ! Beralt Lyu spoke on the blog PlayStation English to talk a little more in detail about his game, recalling thathe is greatly inspired by Wuxia, a genre of fiction featuring ancient Chinese warriors mastering martial arts and supernatural powers. The producer cites in particular Tiger and Dragon And The Secret of the Flying Daggers, two films well known to the general public, even Western ones. The hero of Where Winds Meet will be like this a follower of Qinggongable to climb walls or walk on waterwithout forgetting the ability to stun enemies from a distance with its Chi. Other powers will be unlocked by observing the animals: spit fire like a dragon, leap like a toad or roar like a lion.

On the storyline side, Where Winds Meet will be set in the period of the Five Dynasties and the Ten Kingdoms, at the end of the first millennium. A time full of change and turbulence for China, but we will also be treated to a story focused on the identity of the hero, intriguing NPCs and fights, the developers remain evasive to leave us the surprise. It must be said that the game will not take us by the hand, with an open world to explore, different regions to travel throughlocal NPCs to meet and even puzzles.

Side gameplay, Where Winds Meet will obviously give pride of place to martial arts, with several weapons at our disposal, including the spear, the sword, the fan, the double blades, the umbrella or even the sword, to combine with somewhat fantastic kung-fu techniques and powers. Our character will thus be able to temporarily freeze his enemies, disarm them and counterattack with these abilities. Finally, Beralt Lyu brushes PS5 players in the right direction by specifying that controls will be optimized for PlayStation and its controller DualSense.

Where Winds Meet still has no release date, but it is now expected on PC and PlayStation 5. Until then, you can find the 4K Blu-ray of Tiger and Dragon from €21.55 on Amazon And Fnac.
