Flagship program of TF1, “Koh-Lanta” has become a real institution. So much so that many records, held by adventurers, are recorded there. Zoom on the longevity of certain candidates in the franchise.
The 22nd season of Koh Lantabroadcast on TF1 since March 12, 2022, is in full swing. This is an opportunity to look back on the longevity of the show and on the codes that contribute to its success. If the show celebrated its 20th anniversary, it is above all because it has become a real institution in French television. Between the classic editions and the special “return of the heroes” editions, fans of the franchise have been satisfied for many years. Especially since it allows adventurers to come back several times and pushing the limits a little further. From now on, Koh Lanta has a book of records that lists the exploits of adventurers. From the fastest fire to the duration of the test of the poles through the number of tests won by the candidates, all the data is collected. This allows candidates to challenge each other and viewers to speculate on who will be the next record holders.
Among these records, one of them is particularly revealing of the prowess achieved by the adventurer in question. Ithis is the candidate who has spent the most time on the adventure. This record will be determined by the number of participations in the show, in addition to the candidate’s ability to last within these different editions. The great record holder, in terms of longevity in Koh Lantais nothing else that… Claude Dartois ! Besides his physical abilities, the legend of the show is also a very good strategist. In four participations (season 10, “Heroes’ Revenge”, “The Island of Heroes” and “The Legend”), Claude has only lost once at the posts. During the other three attempts, the candidate managed to climb to the final. Never eliminated during a council, the darling adventurer of the public surprises by his regularity. But be careful, Claude is closely followed by other adventurers! We find Freddy and Teheiura who also participated in four editions. There is also Clémence, present in three separate seasons (season 5, “The Return of the Heroes” and “The Battle of the Heroes”), and who won two of them.
“Koh-Lanta”: other legendary records
In Koh Lanta, some records may be very difficult to break. Adventurers, ever more conquerors, set the bar very high. For example, it is the case of Marc who holds the speed record for lighting a fire. During season 14 of the show, the adventurer had exploded the last record by achieving a time of 2 minutes. Concerning the test of the posts, it is obviously subject to the records of the candidates. It was Amel and Nicolas, in 2002, who held five hours and sixteen minutes in equilibrium on the famous poles. However, the poles did not yet have the additional difficulty level (detachment of certain parts of the pole). With this particularity, the record is held by Jade and Maryline, in 2007, with four hours and thirty minutes on the posts. Even if they will be difficult to beat, we hope to see adventurers soon tickle these records to make us vibrate.
