Every year, MoneyVox publishes its Banking Tariff Trophies, which recognize the establishments offering the best rates to their customers, region by region. And in Brittany, 4 establishments won an award.
To save on bank charges, there is obviously the online banking solution. As our annual tariff study shows, it is possible to pay 0 euro (or almost) to have a bank account and manage it. But the absence of a physical branch and an appointed real-life adviser does not necessarily satisfy all customers. Therefore, which network to choose to pay less?
As part of the Bank’s Trophies, MoneyVox has defined 3 customer profiles (Young, Classic and Premium) with different needs and behaviors (read the full methodology). We have next scrutinizes the tariff brochures of all the establishments present in Brittany, whether they are brands with national pricing or local mutual network funds, then calculated the most suitable formula between à la carte pricing and group service offers, and finally determined a ranking of establishments.
Among young people, a bill from 20 euros
For the Young profile, two banks won a Trophy in Brittany: Credit Maritime Grand Ouest and Banque Populaire Grand Ouest. In these establishments, our typical customer will pay 20 euros in annual bank charges. At issue: the existence of a Cristal Essentiel package, billed only 1euro per month to 12-24 year olds (and which includes in particular account maintenance fees, remote banking services, provision of a bank card, 4 free withdrawals per month from the ATMs of other banks in the euro zone, etc.). Even adding the costs of a short stay abroad, the bill remains the lowest in the region.
