Which bra to choose to enhance a large bust?

Finding lingerie when you have big breasts can sometimes be a real obstacle course. We help you find the perfect bra, in which you will feel beautiful and comfortable.

Know your bra size

Before shopping for new lingerie, it's important to know your correct bra size. To do this, use a tape measure to measure your back circumference and your chest circumference. It is important to stand up straight when taking measurements to make sure that the measurements are correct.

  • Start by measuring your chest measurement. Wrap the ribbon horizontally, loosely, around your bust, passing it under your armpits and over the tips of your breasts. Note the measurement obtained.
  • Then proceed to the measurement of your bust circumference. Repeat as in the previous step, but this time taking the measurement under your chest. Note the measurement obtained.

Once you have these two measurements, you then need to determine her cup size. If for example your back circumference is 75 cm and your chest circumference is 90 cm, just calculate the difference. 90 – 75 = 15 cm, so you make a B cup. To help you know your bra size, you can refer to our table:

What form of bra for a large breast?

Between a sometimes deplorable support and a frankly not happy design, bras for large breasts are sometimes not at all adapted to our morphology. To enhance a generous bust, we have unearthed five models that will offer you support, comfort and elegance.

  • The balconette bra

For a pretty cleavage, the balconette bra is the one you need! Usually unpadded, it has a rounded cut that bares the top of the bust, while its underwire supports it. The lower part of the bra finally offers a nice curve.

  • The full cup bra

Also called "full cup", the full cup bra has a high cut cup that covers the entire breast. It is very popular with women with large breasts because it is elegant, comfortable and offers excellent support. Designed without any padding, it does not compress the chest but perfectly conforms to the shapes.

  • The non-preformed bra

The non-preformed bra is a bra completely devoid of pads and / or foam. It follows the natural shape of your breasts and will therefore be perfect for highlighting generous breasts. It sometimes has wide straps for better support.

  • The minimizer bra

The minimizer bra is specially designed for those who find their breasts too generous and want to reduce it visually. It elegantly envelops the breast and reduces the volume of the breasts without compressing them.

  • The underwired triangle bra

When it has a frame, the triangle bra can be very suitable for generous breasts. It is preferably chosen without padding and in a noble material such as lace or silk. Its deep but natural neckline enhances rounded shapes.
