It’s been almost two years that we wait for season 4 of the series “Stranger Things” on Netflix. While waiting for its arrival on our screens in 2022, we offer you a quiz on the female characters of the cult program.

Lost and completely marginalized from social codes, she will reveal strange psychic powers to her new friends.
“Stranger Things”: the 80s vibe on Netflix
You would have understood it : Stranger Things greatly appeals to our nostalgia. We are directly immersed in the 80s and as much to tell you that in terms of pop culture references, we are served! The monsters, parallel worlds and superpowers of Eleven, aka Millie Bobby Brown are reminiscent of those movies and series from our childhood and adolescence. Stranger Things does not reinvent the genre, of course, but the series has the merit of assuming its cinematographic influences and paying homage to them. The waffles, the demogorgon, the Christmas garlands of “Stranger Things”: quite a mood
The scale around the 1980s has increased tenfold in recent years thanks to the arrival of Stranger Things on Netflix. We all remember Eleven’s Halloween costumes, pink dress and waffles in hand. Then there is this already cult scene where Joyce, Will’s mother, tries to communicate with her son through Christmas garlands. This has earned many parodies and even the most creative disguises. Not to mention that the following seasons only multiplied this immense hype around Stranger Things and the 80s. The aufeminin editors told you about it a while ago: in 2019, Netflix was collaborating with the clothing brand Levi’s and fans of Stranger Things were surprised to discover a collection of clothes, very 80s, on the theme of the Netflix series. The stunning Aztec Levi’s printed shirt was worn by the character of Eleven, played by actress Millie Bobby Brown, in episode 7 of season 3. A nice publicity stunt that only reinforces this fascination with the retro universe Stranger Things.
What about the female characters from “Stranger Things” in all of this?
But besides the 80s hype and the super cool clothes of the characters, Stranger Things, it’s also badass female characters. There is first Eleven and Nancy, present since season 1, then Max and Robin arrived a little later. Each has a very distinct personality and it is difficult to prefer one more than the others as we can identify with each of them. We also see them evolve over the episodes and seasons and this undoubtedly reminds us of the years that we, in turn, went through at their ages. The female characters of Stranger Things, it’s Eleven who gains more and more self-confidence by stepping out of her comfort zone, it’s Nancy who is gradually emancipating herself and who is no longer afraid of labels. Stranger Things, on Netflix, it is also Max who is not cold in the eyes and considers that she has nothing to envy of her male comrades. Then, Stranger Things, that’s Robin’s delicious cynicism too. Not to mention that all these actresses are hyper endearing on the screen, as on the filming images or in an interview. So, obviously, hard not to like them!
