“White Collar” returns almost 10 years after the series finale. Find out from us whether Matt Bomer or other actors from the original cast will be in the reboot.
In 2015, the popular FBI series “White Collar” came to an end with the 6th season. But for several years now, there have been rumors that the series is going to make a comeback. Now the time has come: a reboot of “White Collar” has been officially ordered. And Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay and Tiffani Thiessen are back on board.
Series creator Jeff Eastin revealed at the “TV Fest” event hosted by US magazine Variety that he is currently writing the scripts. The new edition of the series is not only aimed at old fans of the series, but is also intended to introduce new viewers to the world of the series.
The success of “Suits” led to the sequel to “White Collar”
In addition, Willie Garson, who died in 2021 and played the character Mozzie in the original series, will also be mentioned and honored in the new episodes. Eastin also revealed that the boom that the series “Suits” experienced in the US via Netflix helped ensure that “White Collar” can now continue.
Plot details have not been revealed yet, but Eastin talked about how many questions were intentionally left unanswered at the end of Season 6. The final scene with Neal, played by Bomer, was meant to be a setup for a sequel, which is now finally coming to fruition.
“White Collar” originally aired on USA Network, but was produced by Fox Television Studios, which is now owned by Disney. So it’s very likely that the reboot will appear on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in Germany.
