Up to 20 degrees and sunny. The foehn brings us wonderful autumn weather again this weekend. In the St. Gallen Rhine Valley it could even get up to 23 degrees, reports «Meteonews» in a press release.
At the same time, it could be the last really warm days. Because next week, according to the meteorologists, it should be significantly cooler. In addition, there is snow down to the depths.
On Monday, the snow line drops from initially 2500 meters to just 1500 meters. At an altitude of 2500 meters there is between 10 and 20 centimeters of fresh snow in the north, including a little less.
Snow down to the depths
The next snow burst will fall on Wednesday. According to current forecasts, up to half a meter of fresh snow is expected in the ski areas at 2500 meters above sea level! And one or two white flakes should also be visible at lower altitudes. By Wednesday, the snow line will drop to just 1200 meters.
How the situation will develop afterwards is still very uncertain. However, meteorologists reckon with up to one meter of fresh snow in Valais and parts of Graubünden.
Ski resorts in particular should be happy about this news. Various areas have announced that they will start operations in the coming days. (zis)
