who are the Colas, the show’s new tribe?

This Tuesday, June 28, a new tribe arrives on your screens in the show Families large: life in XXL. For the occasion, and exclusively for aufeminin, we were able to chat with the Colas family.

This is news that should delight fans of the show, Large families: life in XXL, broadcast on TF1. After the arrival of the Pavoni alongside the Galli or even the Santoro, today, in the 5:30 p.m. episode, a whole new tribe will appear for the first time in the program. it’s about the Colas family.

At the head of this clan, we find Delphine and Olivier, both married and in a relationship for 12 years. Together they form a large family with five childrenincluding the first two born from a previous union: the eldest Selena who is 17 years old, Gabriel 14 years old, Paul 9 years, Louisa 7 years old and the little one Alba, 2 years old. A last pregnancy which particularly marked the tribe because Delphine was pregnant with twins. Unfortunately, Alba’s twin brother whom they had decided to call Victor died the day he was born. A terrible drama that made them stronger.

A tight-knit family

Latest news

When they started their love story, Delphine already had two children and Olivier had none. A meeting that changed their lives forever. “We met 12 years ago and he became a dad with Selena and Gabriel. It was a magical encounter, since he immediately treated them as his own children, he loved them. And then quite naturally we decided to have other children… I always wanted to have some, I didn’t have the exact number in mind but I found myself so fulfilled in motherhood that I wanted to have a large familytold us Delphine exclusively.

Today, their family is more united than ever. “We are an extremely close-knit family, we are a clan. If one of us has a problem, we obviously help each other”, told us the mother before adding: Our mantra is one life, we only have one life ! We enjoy every moment with our children.” And that’s partly why the Colas family wanted to participate in the show this time.

Sharing positive despite hardships

A few years ago, thanks to his Instagram accountDelphine had already been approached by the TF1 program, and in particular by the casting agency La Petite Bonne. “Why before did we not follow up? Because we did not feel ready to expose our private life in a television program. And when we were contacted again, we had already experienced the loss of our child. We wanted to show that we were like all families with ups and downs, and that we went through hardships like everyone else”she explained to us.

We also wanted to deliver a positive and hopeful message : whatever dramas we may encounter, we can continue to be positive and see the good sides of life”, concluded Delphine. And precisely, in the future, nice projects await the Colas tribe. Starting with Selena, the eldest of the family, who is about to leave for a year in the United States to study and pass her baccalaureate.
