who can benefit from the new bonus of 1,000 euros for the installation of a boiler?

An increase of 1,000 euros in the aid granted to households who replace a boiler powered by fossil fuels with renewable energy equipment: this was one of the measures announced by the government as part of the economic resilience plan and social presented on March 16, in response to soaring energy prices.

This bonus comes into force for files submitted from Friday April 15, until the end of 2022, indicates a decree published on April 7. In practice, these 1,000 euros reinforce the MaPrimeRénov’ aid, which already exists for this type of work – MaPrimeRénov’ being the main state aid financing household energy saving work.

To request this help, you can go to the websites France-renov.gouv.fr Where Maprimerenov.gouv.fr. Both owner-occupiers and landlords are concerned.

Eligible equipment

Among the equipment that makes it possible to benefit from this bonus of 1,000 euros, there are boilers with automatic feed and manual feed running on wood or other biomass (such as straw, sawdust, bark). But also equipment for the production of heating and domestic hot water running on thermal solar energy. As well as geothermal heat pumps, which recover heat from the earth or groundwater, and solar thermal pumps, that is to say equipped with solar panels to capture the heat of their environment.

Air-water heat pumps, which recover calories from the air to heat water for radiators, are also concerned.

If this bonus of 1,000 euros is aimed at most households, it is however not intended for the wealthiest.

Excluded “pink” households

Remember that the amounts of aid provided by MaPrimeRénov’ vary according to four categories of income, ranging from very modest, for income not exceeding 15,262 euros per year for a single person in the region and 21,123 euros in Ile-de-France -France, to the highest category, for households whose income is greater than 35,894 euros in the regions and 38,184 euros in Ile-de-France.

The additional aid of 1,000 euros is intended for the first three income brackets, represented in the MaPrimeRénov’ system by three colors: yellow, blue and purple. The bonus thus stops at households that receive intermediate incomes – up to 29,148 euros for a single person in the region and 38,184 euros in Ile-de-France (for a single person).
