An unknown driver hit a pedestrian on a zebra crossing in the city of Salzburg on Monday morning and fled.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Linzer Bundesstrasse and Sterneckstrasse. The 25-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street at a zebra crossing when she was hit by a turning car. The young woman was knocked to the ground and sustained unspecified injuries. The car stopped briefly before the driver stepped on the gas again. An unknown witness provided first aid. The rescue service treated the injured and took them to the Salzburg accident hospital.
