The makers of “Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard” have announced a new documentary series about the tragic death of Princess Diana.
The tragic accidental death of Princess Diana (1961-1997) still fascinates many people today. Shortly before the 27th anniversary of Diana’s death on August 31, a new three-part documentary series has been announced that “will examine the circumstances surrounding the death of the Princess of Wales on August 31, 1997.” This is reported by the US industry magazine “Deadline”.
That’s what “Who Killed Diana?” is about.
The documentary series will “feature rare and, in some cases, the first-ever interviews with several key sources connected to the accident that led to Diana’s death. It will shed new light on the case that has gripped the world for decades,” says the official description of “Who Killed Diana?”.
The production company behind the project is Empress Films, which was already responsible for the documentary series “Mysterium Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes” and “Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard” which can be seen on Netflix.
“Exploring legendary women through investigative journalistic documentaries is a passion of mine,” explained filmmaker Emma Cooper, who will direct “Who Killed Diana?” As with “The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe,” the producers and documentary makers “took a story the world thought it knew and uncovered hidden truths.”
It is not yet clear on which streaming service or TV channel the documentary series “Who Killed Diana?” will appear. A start date is also not yet known.
