WHO says moving patients from Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital ‘impossible task’

  • Israeli army announces it has taken control of Hamas institutions in Gaza. Army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter) that Israeli soldiers had notably taken control of Parliament, the seat of government, the Hamas police headquarters and the premises of an engineering school which “was used for the production and development of weapons”.

The film was edited using clips from the body cameras and cell phones of some of the hundreds of Palestinian fighters from the Islamist movement Hamas killed or taken prisoner, from Hamas social media, as well as the phones of victims and rescuers, according to Israeli diplomacy.

  • Hamas’ military wing accused Israel on Monday of “procrastinate” in discussions regarding the possible release of hostages in exchange for that of Palestinian women and children incarcerated by the Jewish state. The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades also requested a five-day truce to release hostages.
  • The Israeli army claimed Monday evening on Telegram that it had “clues” showing that Hamas fighters held hostages in a Gaza children’s hospital. She also said she uncovered “Hamas infrastructure in the basement” from Rantisi Hospital.
  • Since the start of the conflict, 11,240 people killed in bombings in the Gaza Strip, Gaza’s health ministry, run by Hamas, said on Monday. The Hamas attack made around 1,200 dead on the Israeli sidemostly civilians killed on October 7, according to official Israeli figures.
