A new recall campaign will begin in September 2021, as announced by Emmanuel Macron. It will initially affect around 5 million people.

The opinion of the High Authority of Health on the third dose of vaccine against Covid-19 will be communicated in the coming weeks. People over the age of 80
The September vaccination will be aimed at those staying at home, as during the first vaccination campaign last January. Although at the beginning of the year, were considered a priority people over 75 years old according to the Public Service.
People with serious illnesses may benefit from the vaccine
If you have a disease with a very high risk of serious forms, you will also be able to benefit from the third dose next September. 3rd dose for residents in nursing homes and long-term care units
In order to avoid outbreaks and significant mortality in these organisms, like the first wave, residents in nursing homes and long-term care units will also be able to take advantage of the coronavirus vaccine for the third time.

Immunocompromised people also priority for vaccine booster
That is to say with a weakened immune system, are the last people making up the first circle of vaccination for this new campaign. Since May 5, they have already been recommended to get vaccinated a third time against Covid-19, according to 20 Minutes. 100,000 of them had already received 3 doses. For them, it will be a question of carrying out a fourth vaccination.
