Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ?: The national soccer team earns 222,500 euros

Six personalities from the national soccer team were guests in the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" A hat trick for a good cause.

In three teams of two, five players from the national soccer team and DFB director Oliver Bierhoff (52) won the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? – The Team Plays" special on RTL (also on "TV Now") for a good cause. Bierhoff, Kevin Trapp (30), Leon Goretzka (25), Joshua Kimmich (25), Niklas Süle (25) and Lukas Klostermann (24) earned a total of 222,500 euros. Günther Jauch (64) of course took over the role of referee or moderator as always.

Goretzka and Kimmich started and chose – like the other two teams – the well-known risk variant with a fourth joker. There were no problems with the introductory questions and they also knew their way around German rappers, earlobes and pencils. After the entertainer and presenter Barbara Schöneberger (46) had helped them out on the phone and the other jokers had also been used up, the two got out of the 125,000-euro question because they could not answer for sure which tree would at least be used for the production of a corresponding specialty Must be 30 to 40 years old. Maple syrup would have been the correct answer. Goretzka and Kimmich had secured 64,000 euros.

The kickers and the "volcano queen"

Klostermann and Süle didn't play offside either. Once again, the football professionals had no problems with the first questions. It got difficult for the first time when they were asked to answer which musician apparently peed on his Grammy recently. Schöneberger could not help this time, but the team with Kanye West (43, "Stronger") gave the correct answer. In return, she was able to help out later with the question of which monarch is sometimes called the "volcano queen" because she supposedly smokes up to 60 cigarettes a day. Correct answer: Margrethe II (80) of Denmark. Since Süle and Klostermann were too unsure about the 500,000 euro question, they were finally replaced and took 125,000 euros from the seat.

Then Bierhoff and Trapp ran up, who also did not get a red card. Bierhoff combined roughly correctly that Heidi Klum (47) had to give both her husband Tom Kaulitz and her brother-in-law Bill Kaulitz (both 31) a present on September 1st, because the two members of the Tokio Hotel band are twins. With the help of the different jokers – Schöneberger also helped out again with a fashion question – Trapp and Bierhoff remained confident, but they finally had to give up possession of the ball when the 64,000 euro question was asked. Instead, they got out with 32,000 euros. "As soon as visibility in the car is less than 50 meters in fog, switch on the rear fog light and not faster than …?" The correct answer, which they unfortunately did not know, would have been "50 km / h".

With an additional joker, the soccer stars earned a total of 222,500 euros. The money is used for different purposes. It goes to "We Kick Corona", an initiative by Goretzka and Kimmich, as well as to the DFB Foundation Egidius Braun.
