Who will be a millionaire? – The big gambler special: record profit of two million euros possible

Pastor Lukas Gotter (32) from Halle an der Saale could win the record for "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" become. From 8:15 p.m., RTL will clarify whether moderator Günther Jauch (63) may have the first winner of two million euros in front of him in the candidate chair.

Gotter starts as an overhang candidate for the program on Monday at 250,000 euros and even has joker left for the three questions that he is likely to use – the 50:50 and the telephone joker. There is also a special joker that probably not every previous candidate had anything to do with. "I pray for myself again and again and have given the thing to God, so to speak. I think he will make something good out of it, no matter how it turns out," said Gotter, according to a press release from the broadcaster.

For a good cause

Jauch estimates the pastor's chances are at least very high. "We haven't had that for a long time, that someone has come this far, still has the jokers and makes an unencumbered impression," explains the moderator. "I don't know if this is due to the fact that he is a pastor and thinks: 'My fate is in God's hands anyway.' But I think the candidate is really dangerous. " The two million euro question was only asked twice in the 22 "Gambler Specials" to date.

But what does Gotter want to do with the money, should he really win two million? "My wife and I had already thought about how we would do it," says the 32-year-old. "We want to donate part of it to various projects. Use part of it privately. And support our community with most of it." The pastor would repay his BAFöG from the private share and buy a car.

"Who wants to be a millionaire? – The big gambler special" can be seen not only on TV, but also on TVNow.
