On Monday evening, Helmut Kohl's grandson, Johannes Volkmann, asked himself the "Who will be a millionaire?" Questions. That's how he did.

In the current edition of the quiz show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire", a young man with a more than famous ancestor dared to take the chair with Günther Jauch (64). Johannes Volkmann (25) is the son of Christine K. Volkmann (61) and Walter Kohl (57) – and thus Helmut Kohl's (1930-2017) grandson. As such (and as a member of the CDU), in an interview with Jauch, he found "politics exciting" and "certainly something that was born there." The 25-year-old was far more interested in the road to becoming a million, at least on Monday evening.

And that turned out to be quite rocky. All four jokers were gone when the price was 8,000 euros. But without any help, Volkmann suddenly ran and solved the 16,000 and 32,000 euro question in no time at all. The latter because he happened to know from his corona illness in March 2020 that the "titer determination" had something to do with vaccinations. And because afterwards he also (slightly gambled) knew that Serena Williams had named her daughter Olympia, he even made it to the 64,000 level – and then the signal rang to end the quiz.

In the next issue he will be able to listen to the question for at least 125,000 euros. The upcoming regular episode will be a bit long in coming. It will only be clear at the beginning of February how much coal the Kohl grandson can go home with.
