After discovering that 10,000 applications were restricted, Geekbench has just decided to remove all Samsung Galaxy S22, S21, S20 and S10 from its website.

The Samsung Galaxy S22s have been on sale for a few weeks, and we continue to report on them. iFixit has just disassembled them, as for DxOMark, they tested their screen. Earlier in the week, we learned that Samsung had deliberately decided to limit the performance of 10,000 popular applications.
The problem is not to limit the performance of applications to optimize the autonomy of the Galaxy S22, but that this limitation is not activated when the Galaxy S22 are on the benchmark test benches. Samsung was quick to explain that this limitation would be stopped. A software update is therefore expected.
No manipulation at Geekbench
One of the most popular benchmark tools, Geekbench, has decided to de-benchmark all Galaxy S including Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22.
Geekbench’s policy is that once a device is removed from its device browser, there is no going back. Which means that even when Samsung releases the update that will allow users to prioritize performance to have a “normal” experience, all Galaxy S22, S21, S20, and S10 devices will remain removed from GeekBench’s listing.
After extensive internal testing we have determined the following Samsung Galaxy handsets use GOS:
– Samsung Galaxy S22 (all models)
– Samsung Galaxy S21 (all models)
– Samsung Galaxy S20 (all models)

You can therefore still launch the benchmarks from the GeekBench application, but the devices will no longer be listed in the rankings.
Geekbench has removed devices from its site in the past, including the OnePlus 9 series. ‘energy. This did not affect benchmarking applications and therefore Geekbench considered it manipulation. Other companies whose devices have been delisted in the past include Huawei and Xiaomi.
