Why have I still not received the tax transfer?

10 million French people can obtain a fuel bonus of 100 euros. But you still have to apply to the tax authorities. A MoneyVox reader wonders why he still hasn’t received the compensation payment, more than three weeks after his request. Here are the possible explanations.

Question from Dreumont, February 14, 2023

I made a request for a fuel check and this day I have not received anything although my request was made on 20/01/2023. For what?

Hello Dreumont, Thank you for your message. The fuel allowance of 100 euros intended for 10 million individuals raises many questions among MoneyVox readers. This aid replaces the rebate on the liter of fuel applicable in 2022 for all motorists. It is accessible subject to income conditions, and must be claimed directly on the tax website since January 16.

The deadline, initially set for February 28, has just been pushed back to March 31 by the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire so that as many beneficiaries as possible can claim this aid intended for low-income households who use their vehicle to get to at work.

A longer than anticipated payment period

At the launch of the fuel aid, the government announced that the transfer of 100 euros for eligible persons should be paid into the bank account of the beneficiaries in a delay of about 8 days. On Monday, the General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFiP) made a progress report on the fuel allowance. She indicated that 5.17 million requests have already been made from the online tax form.

The processing time between filling out the form and paying the compensation is finally included between 10 and 14 days on average. This is an average time, which can therefore be higher. The DGFiP indicates in particular that of the 5.17 million requests, the number of compensation paid or in the process of being paid is 3.3 million. Indeed, a small number of payments are pending due to the absence of the beneficiary’s bank details, explains the DGFiP.

Dreumont, if you have provided your RIB to the tax authorities and you still do not receive the compensation of 100 euros in the coming days, you can contact the national telephone number at 0806000229 (free service + cost of the call), which is accessible from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can also contact your personal income tax department to find out more about the progress of your application.
