Why is the breeding of these two very popular dog breeds prohibited?

In details, due to inbreeding, induced by a particularly thorough selection in these dogs for a number of years already, the animals have developed a number of hereditary diseases. These affect most of them… If not all of them! Therefore, after being seized by the Norwegian Humane Society, the Oslo court banned the breeding of these two breeds. The reason invoked: the suffering inflicted on them is incompatible with animal welfare.

Heart failure and eye problems
