The fight for the normalization of breastfeeding in public is very tough. Some people say breastfeeding is something to be done modestly, out of sight, and not to be shared on social media. Yet the breasts, by definition, are just the front part of the breast. So far, nothing really shocking.

Some people feel offended by breastfeeding and end up sexualizing it, because there is a glimpse of a female breast. Breasts are used to nourish babies. There too, nothing shocking. Nevertheless, a good number of individuals are indignant at the nudity of a nursing woman.

This offense, the model Elsa Hosk paid the price. After sharing a breastfeeding photo on Instagram, the 32-year-old was lynched in a private message

“Offensive” photos

Elsa Hosk gave birth to a baby girl named Tuulikki Joan on February 11. The fruit of her love with Tom Daly, the mom occasionally shares adorable snapshots of her baby. The latest: a photo of her breastfeeding her daughter in her car, during a break granted in her day.

Elsa was surprised to receive a number of private messages, mostly from men, who felt offended at the sight of her posting. The model reacted in the story with calm and class: “I find it interesting how many dms I get from men who feel offended when you post a breastfeeding photo … Why is the most natural thing so offensive to you? Breasts literally exist so that we can feed our children”. Well said !
