Active searches for the body of Delphine Jubillar have been carried out since January 17. Why are they undertaken only in January?
Active excavations around the home of the Jubillars located in Cagnac-les-Mines in the Tarn, are currently being carried out by the gendarmes as well as the soldiers of the “Specialized operational search” service of the 17th parachute engineer regiment of Montauban. The search, which began on Monday January 17, could last several weeks.
The focus is particularly on this mysterious farm near the home of the Jubillars. The farm which burned down in April 2021 has been repeatedly cited by people interviewed as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar.
It was mentioned by the new companion of Cédric Jubillar, Séverine, placed in custody and heard by the gendarmes for “concealment of corpse”. During her hearing she said that Cédric had spoken about this place, while he was making a joke about the possible death of Delphine.
Another person cited this farm, it is Marco, the former co-detainee of Cédric Jubillar who would have collected the confidences of the main suspect in the disappearance case. This former prisoner who rubbed shoulders with Cédric in prison, told investigators that Delphine’s husband would have told in detail how he killed and buried his wife. Moreover, when he was released from prison, Marco went to meet Séverine, Cédric’s friend, who showed him this famous farm.
The burned farm, a not so obvious track?
Many elements point to this mysterious farm located a few minutes from the Jubillar’s home. It is all the more intriguing because it suddenly caught fire on April 15, 2021, without it being known whether the fire was accidental or not. So why are the searches only starting now?
In an article by The Dispatch, Me Jean-Baptiste Alary, one of Cédric Jubillar’s three lawyers, also wonders: “It is logical that investigations are carried out around this farm which burned down, after the declarations of this former cell neighbor of Cédric Jubillar and Séverine, his new companion. One can only wonder why they were not carried out. earlier.”
In fact, during the spring of 2021, investigations had been carried out there. If the first searches did not yield results, the area of the farm was never ruled out. Only the land where the farm is located is very uneven and complicates the search. Potholes, bumps and a major landslide, which occurred two years ago, impede access to the site. At the time, the operational means were not the same as those deployed since yesterday.
This time the focus will be on this place. Gendarmes and soldiers will be on site for as long as necessary. On Wednesday, January 12, a gendarmerie helicopter flew over the area where the farm is located. These new investigations should take time since the terrain is still difficult to explore and the research is being done in difficult weather conditions, involving thick fog.
