Why should you leave a coin in your freezer?

However, it may happen in some cases that your freezer has not worked for several hours or days due to a power cut. Concretely, two days before your departure fill a small container with water and let it freeze or use your ice cube tray. Choose a coin and disinfect it. Place the piece then flat on the small block of ice formed in this container and close the door of the freezer. When you return, remember to look at your room. If you discover that it is trapped in the ice (by sinking into it), this indicator will indicate that the water has melted during your absence and that your freezer has therefore stopped working for a time before being reactivated and reproduce cold.
